The "manufacturing belt" extends throughout the North East, the South and West.

American industry is specialized in the production of high-tech equipment such as TV, computer and hi-fi.

The USA are second to the world, behind Japan for the production of automobiles.

Also important are the industries of the rubber, high fashion (New York, Baltimore and Chicago), chemical and petroleum (south and especially in Texas), cinemas and restaurants (fast-food and multinationals such as Coca Cola).

In America we can find the most advanced electronics industry and the American industry is based on three things: capital, state-of-the-art technology and spread in the world.
