Industry is another area where the USA are extremely competitive.  

  • The "manufacturing belt" extends throughout the North East, the South and West.
  • American industry is specialized in the production of high-tech equipment such as TV, computer and hi-fi. 

  • The USA are second to the world, behind Japan for the production of automobiles.
  • Also important are the industries of the rubber, high fashion (New York, Baltimore and Chicago), chemical and petroleum (south and especially in Texas), cinemas and restaurants (fast-food and multinationals such as Coca Cola).
  • In America we can find the most advanced electronics industry and the American industry is based on three things: capital, state-of-the-art technology and spread in the world.

    It is currently one of the best-known companies, discussed and productive in the world.

    COCA COLA

    The Coca-Cola Company is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of soft drinks and syrups and concentrates globally. She is best known under the name of its original product, Coca-Cola.
    The headquarters are in Atlanta (Georgia), listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) as "KO" and is part of both the S&P500 index Dow Jones.

    Starbucks is a US-based chain of coffee shops, founded in 1971 in Seattle by Howard Schultz.
    It offers its customers coffee, desserts and pastries. In the United States of America it is considered as a meeting place for young people, especially students or residents in large cities.
